Job Overview
The Surgical Services Scheduler performs the duties required to schedule patients for surgery. Experience with surgical scheduling is necessary; Cerner experience preferred.
General Responsibilities
Communicates any preparations needed to the patient and communicates the information to all areas within surgical services.
Reviews physician orders and submits to IR/Cath per procedure protocol.
Schedules recurring/STAT procedures.
Handles high volume patient/physician phone interaction.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.
Knowledge of PC keyboard.
Prior radiology/surgery scheduling experience.
Medical Terminology required.
Minimal data entry skills required.
