
Facilities Maintenance Technician – Part Time

Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position is non-supervisory and works part-time during the school year, with the option to work extra hours during school breaks/holidays. Duties include maintaining the facility and projects as needed.
Responsibilities
Facilities
Complete routine maintenance tasks as assigned
Assist Facilities Supervisor with special projects as needed
Perform and document quality inspections based on Facilities Quality System requirements
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks to include: grounds care, common areas, trash and recycling, safety inspections, monthly and quarterly inspections, and routine and preventative maintenance as assigned
Communicate with supervisor when issues occur
Safety
Follow all safety policies
Maintain Work Practices
Maintain work environment to 5S standards
Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time
All paperwork and database entries filled out completely and accurately
Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers

Other projects as assigned
Requirements
Education
High school/Post post-secondary education students
Experience
Construction and facilities class focus, and some experience preferred
Basic knowledge of Hand and Power Tools.
Other Requirements
Basic computer skills required
Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, and 70+ lbs as a team lift or with material handling equipment
