Inventory Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Operations Coordinator to support daily inventory accuracy and warehouse operations. This role acts as a key point of communication between drivers, facility teams, and operations, ensuring smooth coordination of inbound and outbound materials..
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily inventory checks, cycle counts, and material verification
Maintain and update inbound/outbound logs, spreadsheets, and documentation
Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow
Collect, validate, and report accurate inventory data
Verify and organize BOLs, packing lists, and shipping documentation
Track material types, quantities, and conditions across locations
Assist with inventory discrepancies, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis
Support scheduling, load tracking, and logistics coordination as needed
Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain organized digital and physical records
Assist with inventory audits and compliance processes
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred)
2–5 years of experience in:
Inventory control
Warehouse operations
Logistics or supply chain
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (sorting, filtering, formulas like SUM, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Ability to read and interpret BOLs, packing lists, and shipping documents
Solid understanding of inventory management principles
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
Preferred Experience
Manufacturing, recycling, plastics, or supply chain environments
ERP or WMS systems
Barcode scanners or inventory tracking tools
Cycle counting, audits, and variance analysis
Forklift experience or certification
Work Environment
Warehouse and/or industrial yard setting
Combination of indoor and outdoor work (non-climate controlled at times)
Regular interaction with equipment, trucks, and forklift traffic
PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety vest, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Lift and move materials up to 25–50 lbs.
Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the facility
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks (counting, scanning, verifying inventory)
