Position Overview
ĒSO Architecture is seeking an Architectural Staff Level I / Recent Graduate to support project teams across all phases of design and documentation. This position is intended for an early-career designer who is eager to learn, build a strong technical foundation, and contribute meaningfully to a collaborative studio environment. Architectural Staff Level I team members work closely with project managers, senior associates, and firm leadership to support design development, drawing production, coordination, and construction documentation. This role offers exposure to the full architectural process with increasing responsibility over time.
Required Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
0–3 years of professional architectural experience
Strong interest in architectural design, documentation, and technical development
Proficiency in Archicad or related BIM platforms, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
Basic understanding of architectural drawing sets and design phases
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Willingness to receive feedback, ask questions, and learn through collaboration
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
Positive, team-oriented attitude and curiosity about the building process
Key Responsibilities
Support project teams across all phases from concept through construction
Assist with preparation of design drawings, presentation materials, and construction documents
Translate design direction into clear drawings under the guidance of senior staff
Help coordinate drawing sets, redlines, and revisions
Participate in internal team meetings, design reviews, and coordination discussions
Assist with consultant coordination and document organization
Support construction administration tasks, including site visits and documentation as needed
Maintain organized project files and adhere to firm standards and workflows
Track time accurately and follow established project budgets and schedules
Contribute to a collaborative studio culture through communication, reliability, and teamwork
Performance Expectations
Consistent completion of assigned tasks within established schedules
Growing technical accuracy and understanding of documentation standards
Responsiveness to feedback and demonstrated learning over timeClear communication with team members and project leadership
Reliable time tracking and responsible use of firm resources
Active participation in team learning and studio culture
