Responsibilities
Atlantic Region Central Billing Office (ARCBO) or CBO provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance, and customer service to our affiliated Universal Health Services hospitals.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented

Commercial Billing Support Assistant.

The primary responsibility is to provide clerical support to the Billing Specialists, Team Leads, and Manager.

Opens and sorts mail received on a daily basis as outlined in department procedure

Processes all outgoing mailings for department according to procedure

Distributes all department mail on a daily basis

Processes all requests for billing and other applicable paperwork from patients, co‑workers, etc.

Has a complete understanding of the SMS patient accounting system and is able to utilize all functions appropriately

Consistently receives and reviews daily reports for distribution

Files as required by retention policies

Directs any problems with accounts or where additional intervention is needed to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner

Executes job duties to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency. Uses available work time to complete all tasks within established frames and timelines.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong 10‑key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Familiarity with medical billing healthcare business office experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent
