Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services; OR
One year of training in or completion of a business or clerical‑related curriculum from a business school or technical institute.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience toward the required general experience.

Responsibilities
Knowledge of HIC1 and HIC2 duties.
Receive and ensure all referral paperwork is processed.
Enter all patient data in WinOMS, Axium, and OneDrive.
Advise patients on insurance guidelines and notify them of non‑covered services.
Collect payments for services.
Complete encounter slips for billing.
Secure all payment deposits.
Ensure scheduling of all follow‑up visits.
Review accounts receivable and clear reports as needed.
Obtain medical clearance from outside doctors and track approvals.
Communicate effectively with a diverse patient, faculty, and staff population.

Focusing on customers: ability to serve the needs of service users.
Following policies and procedures: compliance with organization policies, State Civil Service rules, and applicable federal and state laws.

Compensation
Starting rate of pay is dependent upon applicants’ qualifications. Rates are $18.75 per hour for HIC3, $16.37 per hour for HIC2, and $15.30 per hour for HIC1. Pay is dependent on qualifications. An additional $1 longevity pay is available per hour worked only.
Job Conditions
This is a Civil Service position. Pre‑employment drug testing and criminal background check are required. The position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.
