Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a manufacturing plant. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe, efficient plant operations in compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize production delays.

Conduct routine inspections of plant infrastructure, utilities, and safety systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire extinguishers, alarms, etc.).

Follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules; document work in CMMS or other tracking systems.

Support installation, calibration, and upgrades of machinery and equipment.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).

Assist in inventory control of spare parts and request replenishments when necessary.

Collaborate with production teams to support efficiency improvements and process reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.

2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding, and diagnostic equipment.

Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.

Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights using lifts, ladders, or scaffolding.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working Environment

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, moving machinery, and occasional chemicals.

Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.

Work schedule may include overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts depending on production needs.

Collaborative setting with production, safety, and engineering teams.
