Job Description
As a Fiber Tower Operator 2 you will work closely in a team environment to operate the fiber draw tower and associated analytical verification equipment used in the manufacture of optical fiber and subsequent catheter production.
Work Schedule
3rd shift, Monday night through Friday night from 9pm - 5:30 am.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery, tools, and equipment within the manufacturing group by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Perform both standard and complex production tasks, set up and adjust machines and tools according to specifications, and monitor equipment during production to ensure adherence to quality standards and specification tolerances.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance activities including basic operational problem-solving to restore or improve production, carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on the Fiber Draw Tower and associated equipment, accurately document maintenance actions in tracking systems, and assist in the generation and revision of maintenance procedures as required.
Conduct thorough quality checks by maintaining oversight of output quality, identify and address faulty products through proper disposal or remanufacture as directed, and report operational disruptions or specification deviations to the Manufacturing group leader for timely resolution and to minimize downtime.
Maintain detailed daily production records and digitally input test results and work documentation; use basic computer skills to follow digital work instructions, efficiently manage production data, and support performance analyses aimed at identifying areas for process improvement.
Uphold and promote proper environmental, safety, and security practices by maintaining a clean work area, following safety protocols such as lockout/tagout, actively participating in a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement, and working closely with colleagues operating the fiber draw tower and conducting analytical verification processes.
Qualifications
Vocational Education or High School Diploma.
No prior experience required; an understanding of production plants or manufacturing sites is preferred.
Demonstrates proactive problem‑solving skills using Lean or equivalent root‑cause analysis to implement corrective actions, combined with deep knowledge of global transportation supply chains and carrier management, with strong expertise in North, South, and Central America road and parcel modes.

Must reside in or within commuting distance to Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and Benefits
