Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Lending Associate to join a leading law firm in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to work with financial institutions and developers on complex real estate and asset-based lending transactions.
Responsibilities
Represent lenders in real estate and asset-based loan originations
Support financing transactions involving real estate and other collateral
Assist developers with acquisitions, sales, and financing matters
Manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
4–6 years of real estate lending experience
Experience representing financial institutions (loan origination required)
Developer-side experience is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and client service skills
Illinois Bar admission (or ability to waive in) required
Compensation & Benefits
$235,000 — $320,000 base salary bonus
Hybrid schedule (Chicago office)
