Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney position based in White Plains, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the areas of matrimonial and family law.
About the Position
Immediate courtroom exposure and hands‑on case responsibility
Direct client interaction and strategic involvement in cases
Opportunity to grow within a well‑established, high‑performing firm
Work closely with experienced attorneys recognized in their field
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in all phases of matrimonial and family law matters
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands, subpoenas, and legal correspondence
Appear in Supreme and Family Courts
Conduct hearings, trials, and depositions
Prepare clients and witnesses for court proceedings and interviews
Manage client communications, including meetings and phone conferences
Independently manage a demanding caseload
Travel for court appearances in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam, and Rockland Counties
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
Active license to practice law in New York State
Minimum of 3 years of matrimonial/family law experience
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Effective negotiation and advocacy abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Salary: $100,000 – $175,000 per year (based on experience and performance)
Health insurance
Paid CLE and New York Bar renewal fees
Paid time off and firm‑observed holidays
Full‑time, Monday to Friday
