What You Will Do / Day In The Life
General building maintenance
Minor electrical repairs
Repairing drywall, painting, paneling, wallpapering, sheetrock work
Hanging doors, adjusting/changing locks and door hardware
Fixing or replacing broken windows and screens, hanging pictures
Minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, replacing leaky washers, re-lighting, replacing and adjusting heaters and controls
Maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights
Maintaining swamp coolers/air conditioners and generators
Replacing floor tiles, carpeting, wood flooring and/or linoleum repairs
Repairing roofing
Some grounds maintenance & irrigation repairs if needed
Qualifications
Experience as a Maintenance Worker
Empathetic, patient, respectful treatment of others
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 21 years of age
Desire to work with troubled teens
Ability to pass a DCF criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Benefits and Compensation
Performance Based Compensation reviews are conducted annually (2%, 4%, or 6%).
Eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance (at 60 days for Hourly employees and 90 days for Salaried).
Choice of Supplemental benefits, including Short Term Disability and increased Life Insurance.
Eligible for 100% 401k match of up to 6% of your salary after 1 year of employment.
Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues.
