About Us
We own and manage 25 houses, providing a supportive and well-maintained living environment for our residents. We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure our properties are in excellent condition.
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for addressing maintenance tickets for general home repairs, performing proactive maintenance, and handling both internal and external maintenance tasks. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Plumbing Repairs: Fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing or replacing faucets, toilets, and pipes
Minor Electrical Repairs: Replacing light bulbs, fixtures, and troubleshooting issues
Carpentry Work: Repairing or replacing doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden structures
HVAC Maintenance: Replacing filters and troubleshooting HVAC issues
Painting: Touching up or repainting walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces
Appliance Repairs: Fixing or replacing household appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers
Roof and Gutter Maintenance: Inspecting and repairing roofs, cleaning and maintaining gutters
Seasonal Tasks: Winterizing homes, preparing for seasonal changes, performing summer maintenance tasks such as air conditioning checks
General Repairs: Fixing drywall, repairing flooring, and addressing any other general maintenance issues that arise
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus
Must pass a background check and drug screen

Proven experience using property maintenance systems to manage work tickets, track data, and generate reports
Ability to use project management software or Excel to plan and schedule larger projects
Experience setting up and managing shared calendars for task scheduling across a team
Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with outside contractors and vendors
Excellent follow-up and follow-through on tasks and communications
Familiarity with asset tracking and implementing routine maintenance schedules
A track record of bringing innovative ideas to a team and successfully implementing them
Experience with Yardi Breeze or similar property management software is a plus
