Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lincoln, NE, where the Social Media Manager will plan, create, and manage the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s social media strategy. Key responsibilities include creating engaging content, scheduling posts across various platforms, analyzing engagement metrics to inform strategy adjustments, collaborating with internal teams to align messaging, and monitoring trends to optimize the organization’s digital presence. The role also includes fostering community engagement and managing feedback through social media channels.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and scheduling tools.

Experience in digital marketing, audience engagement strategies, and analytics tools to measure and improve performance.

Exceptional communication, copywriting, and editing skills with attention to detail.

Ability to create visually appealing content, with proficiency in graphic design tools and multimedia editing software.

Strategic thinking, creativity, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.

Familiarity with conservation, wildlife, or outdoor recreational topics is highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.

Experience working with community outreach and public engagement is a plus.
