Key Responsibilities
Represent clients throughout the VA disability claims and appeals process, including at hearings before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
Prepare and review applications, appeals, and legal documentation to support claims.
Analyze medical records, VA decisions, service records, and other evidence to develop strong legal arguments.
Work closely with VA paralegals and Client Support Coordinators to ensure timely collection of records, client communication, and documentation.
Monitor case status via the VA and Board of Veterans’ Appeals systems and take appropriate follow‑up actions.
Maintain thorough documentation in the firm’s case management system.
Provide compassionate legal guidance to clients navigating the complexities of the VA system.
Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to a supportive, mission‑driven culture.
Qualifications
Active law license or ability to obtain licensure within one month of hire.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage a large caseload efficiently.
Prior experience with VA disability claims, Social Security Disability, or appellate work is a plus— but not required.
Must be coachable, collaborative, and client‑focused.
