Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I performs moderate to high complexity testing in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. Licensed technologists are responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting test results in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I performs moderate to high complexity testing in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. Licensed technologists are responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting test results in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated infectious disease testing, including serological assays (EIA/ELISA) and nucleic acid testing

Analyze, validate, document, and report patient test results

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment

Perform quality control, reagent preparation, documentation, and record‑keeping

Participate in validations, method changes, and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Active California Generalist CLS license in good standing (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related science

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on night shift

Schedule

10:00 PM – 8:30 AM, 4 × 10 h (includes 1 weekend night)

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $50.00 – $54.00 per hour
