
Pharmacist In Charge

VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist In Charge for the Pharmacy at TMH in Tallahassee, FL. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the care transition model.
Responsibilities
Accountable for management, oversight and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy consistent with professional, ethical, and legal standards of proper pharmacy practice.
Responsible for the supervision of pharmacy staff involved in the pharmacy workflow including hiring, training, data entry, verification and dispensing of medications.
Responsible for drug purchasing and inventory controls of the pharmacy.
Ensure that billing & remittance documents are completed in an accurate and time sensitive manner.
Meets with pharma representatives and maintains knowledge of therapeutics, pricing and patient assistance programs.
Monitor and make recommendations to fulfillment staff on inventory management.
Assist in the development of a management reporting dashboard.
Creates ad hoc reports for management.
Addresses HCP pharmaceutical issues and drug information questions.
Ensures literacy level of patient information appropriate for consumer.
Ensures annual review and update of patient education material as necessary.
Develops and implements patient and medication therapy management program.
Review, edit and approve all marketing and web‑site information prior to publication.
Ensures that qualified clinicians are accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers.
Maintain Quality Assurance tracking program.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information and their records, and destruction of relevant documentation which contains patient information.
Perform all tasks in a safe and compliant manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as State and Federal laws.
Work collaboratively with other pharmacies/staff and upper level management team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida.
Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
