Seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care clinic! This role focuses on providing value-based care to the senior population. The Medical Assistant will work alongside a doctor, conducting patient intakes, assisting with examinations, performing phlebotomy, and more, with the goal of building strong relationships with patients.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs and medical histories.
Performing examinations and routine screenings.
Carrying out phlebotomy and other routine lab tasks.
Engaging with patients, listening and reporting findings to the PCP.
Handling patient communication, including phone messages and returning calls.
Administering first aid, changing dressings, and applying bandages.
Providing health coaching and performing CPR when necessary.
Rooming members, taking vitals, performing EKGs, and administering injections.
Conducting diabetic retinopathy and other screenings.
Assisting with administrative work and quality measures.
Completing stat referrals when urgent.
Experience & Qualifications
1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
6+ months of phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
Experience working with the elderly patient population is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
BLS for healthcare providers required.
Skills
Strong skills in phlebotomy are essential.
ECW experience is a plus.
Comfortable adapting to changes in a growing organization.
Team player who is ready to learn and take initiative.
Punctuality and readiness for daily meetings.
