Job Description & Requirements
Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care (ICU RN) for a cardiothoracic unit in Chapel Hill, NC. Commences May 25, 2026 with 12‑hour shifts. Pay $1870 per shift.
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage critically ill patients recovering from complex heart and lung surgeries. Operate advanced life‑support equipment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Deliver care in a high‑acuity critical care unit, maintaining competency in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Use electronic medical record systems and provide timely, accurate assessment and critical‑thinking care.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse, ICU license
Active RN license in North Carolina or Nurse Licensure Compact eligibility
At least one year of recent cardiothoracic or intensive care experience
BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Strong assessment and critical‑thinking skills
Proficiency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Level 1 Trauma experience, minimum one year
CTICU focus experience
One reference in entire work history
SSN required
