
Medical Assistant – Psychiatric Urgent Care

Overview
Our Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic is the first psychiatric urgent care clinic supporting children and adolescents in WA State.
Position
This role requires working a mix of day/evening shifts as well as Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities
Perform individualized patient procedures, treatments, and tests.
Perform clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies, and answering telephones.
Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitor clinic flow.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Required Credentials
Current Medical Assistant certification by Washington Department of Health (DOH); a current interim certification issued by WA State may be substituted for up to 12 months from issue date.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
Preferred
Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium).
Experience as a Medical Assistant in Pediatrics, Urgent Care, and/or medical screening and immunization.
Compensation
$26.51 – $39.76 per hour (based on 2080 hours worked per calendar year). The actual offer may vary within this range depending on equity, skills, experience, and expertise.
