Corewell Health is seeking a dynamic ASTS Fellowship Trained BC/BE Transplant Surgeon to join the collegial Transplant Surgery team at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. The practice has a longstanding history of excellence in the community.
About the Program
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital's Transplant Center, established in 1972, has performed thousands of organ transplants. The program has shown sustained growth, with current annual volume exceeding 90 kidney transplants and 40 liver transplants. The program is notable for innovative protocols and outstanding outcomes with one-year patient and graft survival rates that are amongst the best in Michigan and nationally. The program consists of 4 transplant surgeons, 4 transplant nephrologists and 2 transplant hepatologists performing liver transplantation, deceased and living donor kidney transplantation, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, deceased donor abdominal organ procurement, and general surgery operations as they pertain to transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery.
Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities will include operative procedures, inpatient rounding, outpatient clinics, waitlist management, and active participation in programmatic regulatory and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to clinical abdominal transplantation, possess strong clinical and operative skills, and have a track record of success in academic pursuits including research, a commitment to teaching, and desire to advance clinical innovation.

Qualifications
BC/BE transplant surgeon, ASTS Certification in Abdominal Transplantation
Certificate of Completion in Liver Transplants, Kidney Transplants & Deceased Donor Organ Procurements (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas)
Training and experience in robotic surgery preferred
Excellent surgical skills
Must be able to obtain an unrestricted license in Michigan
