Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Assessment: Conduct admission and ongoing assessment of patients’ condition. Provide nursing care to meet patients’ physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notify doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
Planning: Design, direct, evaluate, and document care plans, patient/family teaching, and transition of care plans to ensure safe, appropriate discharge. Work with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulate a plan of care and daily goals that consider individualized needs.
Implementation: Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to reduce anxiety. Know patients' conditions and report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader or physician. Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols, including medication safety practices, physician orders, consult notifications.
Evaluation: Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions. Notify physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjust nursing care to meet patients’ emerging and changing needs.
Report Skills: Give and receive bedside shift reports, including family participation. Provide accurate, comprehensive reports to the oncoming shift to establish continuity of care. Receive reports from off‑going shift and delegate tasks as needed.
Environment & Patient Safety: Maintain patient and work environments to maximize safety. Promptly remove all used and soiled equipment, linen, etc. to appropriate location. Incorporate national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety and satisfaction. Report all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.
Job Requirements (Required)
Associate’s degree in Nursing
At least one (1) year of RN experience upon hire
Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
Registered Nurse status in Texas upon hire
Basic Life Support – AHA BLS certification within 14 days
Preferred
Bachelor of Nursing, upon hire

Pay Range
$35.45 – $55.36 per hour
