|**Job Description**
**Senior Accountant - Decatur, IL**
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial statements. A key responsibility includes the supervision of the regional Center of Excellence (COE) for Intercompany (IDT).
**Requirements:*** ACCA or CPA Qualification* Minimum of 5 years' experience at the Senior Accounting level, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment* Strong technical accounting background including good working knowledge of international accounting standards* Experience in cost management* Motivated individual with excellent time management, communication and presentation skills* Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills* Advanced computing skills, including strong Excel skills* Ability to be a strong team player* Ability to multitask and manage under pressure**Responsibilities:*** Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements for assigned Caribbean Milling locations* Team lead for the IDT center of excellence* Ensure IDT entries are reviewed and booked timely* Review and approve journal entries prior to posting to the General Ledger* Review and approve reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure that accounting records are accurately maintained in a timely manner* Review and approve audit schedules* Supervise Accounting Staff* Provide management information and analyze accounting data* Troubleshoot and diagnose accounting issues* Variance analysis
