Summary
The Logistics Financial Analyst provides analytical and operational support to Supply Chain Planning and Warehousing/Transportation Operations Department. This position focuses on monitoring logistics spend, analyzing multiple KPIs, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities. Under the guidance of management, the analyst will ensure financial data accuracy and help optimize logistics cost through data‑driven insights.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and quarterly logistics expense reports, focusing on freight and warehouse costs.
Assist in preparation of annual logistics budgets and periodic financial forecast.
Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), identifying trends, and monitor variance that would have impact on the logistics cost.
Perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual logistics spend and forecasted amount, previous year same period, etc.
Maintain and update financial models used for logistics cost forecasting and simulation.
Data Management
Extract and organize data from ERP systems and TMS/WMS.
Ensure the integrity of logistics financial data for use in executive‑level reporting.
Top Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and basic macros are essential).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus.
Exposure to ERP systems or Logistics/TMS/WMS software.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Supply Chain Management.
1–2 years of experience in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Logistics or related field.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and basic macros are essential).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus.
Exposure to ERP systems or Logistics/TMS/WMS software.
Problem solving and analysis.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while meeting tight reporting deadlines.
Ability to manage and work effectively within cross‑functional groups.
