
Staff Accountant

Job Purpose
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes focusing on bank and account reconciliations, journal entries and business licenses.
This is an in-person position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reconcile multiple bank accounts on a daily basis and provide accurate figures to management
Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
Maintain business licenses; filings and reporting
Review expense account activity and identify coding errors
Monitor subtenant rent schedule
Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Client Services departments to facilitate payment processes (Check/ACH/Wire) and bank deposits
Assist in the gathering of support for audit requests
Use Microsoft Excel to prepare and maintain a variety of schedules and reports
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting dataOther responsibilities may include cash postings and/or expense reimbursement processing
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years' experience in accounting or related field preferred
Law Firm experience preferred
Proficient in Excel
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Understanding of A/P function is highly desirable
Exceptional follow-up abilities to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion
Ability to work 7.5 hours in a day or 37.5 hours in a workweek (occasional overtime may be required)
Experience with 3E, Elite Enterprise (or other accounting software) is preferred
Physical Demand
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 40 pounds
Frequent kneeling, bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling of files or storage containers
Ability to sit and perform computer-based work for extended periods of time
Regular walking throughout the office to support various departments and records-related needs
Ability to stand, bend, and reach on a consistent basis throughout the workday
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is from $65,000 - $75,000 and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base salary at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on experience, qualifications or other relevant factors.
