This temporary, part-time position supports overnight operations at the Student Center Hotel through the planned closure of services on October 31, 2026. The Hotel Night Auditor plays a key role in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-managed environment during overnight hours.
Working closely with hotel staff, this role is responsible for completing nightly audit functions, supporting guest services, and maintaining operational continuity during low‑staffed hours. The position also assists with communication, documentation, and monitoring responsibilities critical to overnight operations.
Position Description
The Hotel Night Auditor provides overnight support for hotel operations and guest services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform nightly audit procedures to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting.
Review and correct audit packets and documentation as needed.
Complete guest check-in and check-out processes during overnight hours.
Print and prepare daily housekeeping reports.
Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance to campus visitors.
Monitor hotel entrance cameras and ensure safe access for overnight arrivals.
Maintain awareness of building activity and support overall guest safety.
Communicate with hotel staff regarding overnight activity and any issues.
Respond to emails and maintain accurate records of overnight operations.
Contact emergency maintenance or appropriate personnel in the event of building-related issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in night audit, hospitality, or hotel front desk operations required.
Experience working in a campus‑based environment or student‑facing role required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete audit and reporting tasks accurately.
Ability to work independently and responsibly during overnight hours.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent two (2) years of relevant hospitality or customer service experience.
Experience with hotel property management or audit systems.
Familiarity with campus operations or university housing/hospitality environments.
Experience handling guest concerns and emergency situations.
Experience with administrative tracking, reporting, or documentation processes.
