Position Overview
This position is a Maintenance Services Worker on the 2nd Shift at Colorado Springs Airport. The role includes janitorial, custodial, and basic building and grounds maintenance tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Work Location
Colorado Springs Airport, 7770 Milton E Proby Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80916
Work Schedule
2nd Shift, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Responsibilities
Clean and mop floors; strip and wax floors; burnish floors; extract and vacuum carpets
Sanitize bathrooms; clean interior and exterior windows
Empty trash receptacles and compactor bins as needed
Perform basic landscape maintenance activities; maintain flowerbeds and shrubs
Remove trash and debris from lawn areas; operate a snowplow to keep walkways and parking lots free of snow and ice
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge
Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
Cleaning practices and procedures for high-volume use buildings
Ability To
Follow approved sanitation and cleanliness standards
Safely and effectively operate assigned equipment, tools, and vehicles such as scissor lifts and snowplows
Maintain awareness of all airport safety and security issues
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent
Valid employment authorization in the United States on a full‑time basis
Preferred Qualifications
One year of full‑time janitorial experience
Proficiency in floor care
Experience performing maintenance in a high‑traffic facility
General facilities and/or grounds maintenance experience
Physical Demands
Exerting 20–50 lbs. occasionally; 10–25 lbs. frequently; up to 10 lbs. constantly.
