
Maintenance Technician – Shop & Field (Diesel & Hydraulics)

Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel engines, generator systems, and hydraulic equipment in both shop and field environments. This is a hybrid role that supports internal shop operations as well as field service across Texas. The technician will travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment while also performing maintenance and preparation work in the shop.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, generators, and hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot and repair equipment in both shop and field environments
Travel throughout Texas to support field service needs and respond to service calls
Diagnose and repair equipment on-site to minimize downtime
Maintain and prepare equipment in the shop for field deployment
Work independently to identify and resolve mechanical issues
Document all maintenance and repair activity
Follow all NOV safety standards and procedures
Qualifications
Experience working on diesel engines and generator systems
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
Experience in both shop and field maintenance environments
Comfortable with traveling across Texas
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Clean driving record
Certifications are a plus
