CBN Grind Operator | 1st & 2nd Shift
$20-30 hourly starting, based on experience

Hi-Tek Manufacturing is now hiring experienced Grind CBN Machine Operators who wish to further a career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Essential Duties and Tasks

CBN (cubic boron nitrate) plated wheel grinding radial

Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE

Analyze and interpret op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications

Verify conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary

Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes

Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes

Select, align, and secure fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required

Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications

Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances

Operate overhead crane when necessary

Report proper labor hours in the ERP system

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties

Capable of running multiple machines when assigned

Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally

Physical Conditions

Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds

Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift

Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment and material

Perform under AS9100 standards

Qualifications, Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required

Duty-related experience or including milling or lathe experience required – minimum 1 year

Ability to perform basic math functions

Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills

Must be a United States citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident

Shift
1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00 am-3:30 pm
2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:30 pm-12:00 am

2nd shift offers a generous shift differential

Overtime may be required as needed on both or either shift(s)

Compensation
$20-30 hourly based on experience and candidate capability
