Essential Job Summary
Our Diesel Mechanics perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. They perform preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment. They ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repair or replacement of components.
Essential Job Functions
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times.
Assist in the repair and adjustment of equipment.
Wash vehicles and equipment.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
Assist with service calls for breakdowns.
Perform other maintenance‑related work as required.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years’ experience as a heavy‑duty Diesel Mechanic.
Experience with hydraulics.
Engine and transmission maintenance and repairs.
Experience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar.
Chassis component repairs and maintenance including air brakes system, suspension, drivetrain and steering components.
Maintain and repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems.
Maintain and repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
Assist with service calls for breakdowns.
Must be able to provide own tools.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
