Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support our Production Facility in Madison, Wisconsin. The role requires a self‑starter with industrial maintenance experience who is looking for variety in their work and a rewarding career.

Pay Rate:

$28.44–$31.59/hr + $0.90/hr Shift Premium. Eligible for quarterly bonus program.

Shift Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm.

Career Advancement:

Must‑Have Qualifications

Physical demands: must lift heavy objects, work in varied positions (crouching, climbing, standing) and use hand and power tools.

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge.

Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.

Communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance:

Perform routine scheduled maintenance on equipment (presses, mills, ovens, shears, pleaters, motors, conveyor systems, etc.) to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan.

Lubricate parts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems using observation, technical manuals, and precision diagnostic tools.

Once identified, repair or replace defective or applicable parts.

Installation and Assembly:

Assist with the installation, assembly, and testing of new machinery and systems to ensure proper functionality before deployment.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Conduct safety checks and train others on proper equipment usage.

Documentation and Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Manage and monitor spare parts and supplies inventory.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to urgent repair requests and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
