Full‑time position

Responsibilities

Induce and monitor patient parameters under general anesthesia.

Perform dental prophylaxis procedures under anesthesia.

Understand dental anatomy and accurately chart teeth using a numbering system.

Assist the doctor with dental extractions.

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.

Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.

Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.

Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.

Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.

Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.

Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.

Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Qualifications & Experience

Outgoing and personable.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

At least 1 year of experience with dental procedures under anesthesia in a veterinary hospital.

Team player.

Holder of a CA RVT license.

Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology.

Ability to appropriately handle, lift, and restrain animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc.) and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to perform veterinary medical procedures (venipuncture, radiology, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, administering medications & fluids, assessing & triaging patients).

Basic organizational and computer skills.

Compensation
Hourly pay starting at $26–29, negotiable based on credentials and experience.
