
Registered Veterinary Technician - Dentistry

Bay Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician with a strong focus in dentistry to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is passionate about veterinary dental care and eager to fully utilize their anesthesia, radiology, and dental procedure expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
In This Role, You Will
Perform comprehensive dental procedures, including prophylaxis, full‑mouth dental radiographs, charting, and assisting with advanced dental treatments and extractions.
Provide exceptional patient care throughout dental and surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient preparation, and recovery.
Ensure efficient dental workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinarian and maintaining a high standard of care and organization.
Accurately document dental findings and contribute to treatment planning and case management.
Communicate with clients to review dental disease, treatment plans, home care, and discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.
Contribute to dental case success and efficiency, with the opportunity to earn production‑based compensation on dental procedures.
This Role Is Ideal For
Detail‑oriented technicians who are passionate about dentistry, take pride in precision and patient advocacy, and are excited to grow their dental skillset in a collaborative, team‑focused environment.
This is a full‑time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday‑Friday, and some weekend coverage as needed.
Full‑time benefits and compensation
Compensation: $33–$35 per hour, for each hour worked*
Additional earning potential through production on dental procedures
Bonus package: $2000
CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set
3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of California
Proficiency in the following skills:
Anesthesia induction and monitoring
Dental prophy and radiographs
Advanced Dentistry Techniques
