As a Licensed Optician, you deliver the brand value proposition and help establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. You create exceptional value in customers’ lives by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Welcome all customers and set expectations.

Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.

Act as a leader in optical acumen.

Take and record measurements; accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.

Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.

Use technology accurately despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.

Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.

Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.

Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs & competencies.

Take pride in store appearance; help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.

Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.

Be resourceful, self‑motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

State licensure.

Optical dispensing experience.

Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.

Knowledge of current store merchandise.

Strong basic math skills.

Awareness of current fashion trends.

Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.

Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.

Embrace new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service and retail experience.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
