Controller

Our client is a well-established financial services firm headquartered in Miami. They are seeking a Controller who will oversee the day-to‑day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role will work closely with the CFO and executive leadership team and will play a critical role in supporting the company’s financial strategy and operational growth.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports

Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries

Interact with financial institutions that the company has relationships with

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures

Support the CFO with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

8+ years of progressive accounting experience

Experience within financial services, banking, investment management, or related industries are strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
