Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable
Paint Mixer / Paint Technician
to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paints and coatings for plastic components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise formulas, and comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specified formulas and production requirements
Ensure color accuracy, consistency, and proper finish on all painted components
Operate, clean, and maintain paint mixing and application equipment
Monitor viscosity, temperature, and other variables during the mixing process to ensure quality standards are met
Inspect finished products and materials to verify compliance with specifications
Properly label, store, and track all paint materials and inventory
Follow all safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist production and engineering teams with process improvements and troubleshooting as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in paint mixing, coatings, or manufacturing (plastics experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas
Basic understanding of measurements, ratios, and mixing processes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Skills
Experience working with plastic components or automotive coatings
Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection tools
Knowledge of paint viscosity and application techniques
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50+ lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
