We are seeking a full‑time CNC Lathe Operator to strengthen our team in Memphis, TN.
The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for using a lathe machine to shape or form metal products, ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing process by following blueprints and making necessary adjustments. The position is a floater to help meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate lathe machines to perform various machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, facing, and grooving to produce precision metal parts.
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications, including FDA good manufacturing practices and Elos quality requirements.
Troubleshoot and adjust the lathe machine to ensure proper operation.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances required for machining operations.
Use precision measuring instruments such as optical character recognition, micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints to determine product specifications.
Load and unload materials in and out of the lathe machine.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving and math skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of lathe experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating a Swiss lathe preferred.
