
Payroll Tax Analyst

A growing organization is seeking an experienced payroll tax professional to oversee compliance and reporting for a complex, multi-state workforce. This is a high-visibility role partnering closely with finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
Oversee payroll tax filings, payments, and reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Lead year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and corrections
Handle multi-state taxation matters, including allocation and compliance for a distributed workforce
Serve as point of contact for tax authorities, audits, and inquiries
Maintain and enhance internal controls, processes, and documentation
Partner cross-functionally with payroll, HR, finance, and external providers
Qualifications
5+ years of payroll tax experience (10+ years total payroll experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance
Experience working with payroll and accounting systems in a complex environment (ex: ADP, PeopleSoft, UKG, WorkDay)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Preferred
Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-national payrolls
Exposure to regulated or audit-driven environments
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP) a pl
