
Commercial Loan Transaction Specialist

Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Transaction Specialist is responsible for customer inquiries, associate inquiries, loan disbursements, and general correction activities for all Commercial lines of business across the Busey footprint.
Duties & Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
Process internal requests and inquiries via nCino Cases.
Process loan payments, ACHs, and wire transfers, and manage NSF and returned payments for various departments under multiple deadlines and constraints.
Update and maintain borrower information.
Maintain positive relationships with multiple lenders and support staff.
Process returned mail and any subsequent address changes.
Set up and maintain automatic payments.
Respond to internal emails.
Review exception reports and update loan records accordingly.
Assist other areas and special projects as needed.
Monitor workflows and phone queues.
Train new hires and provide continual training to current staff.
Education & Experience
Knowledge of:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic accounting principles
Strong analytical skills
Microsoft Office
Ability to:
Multi-task and work independently
Perform duties under frequent time constraints
Solve problems independently while applying logic and discretion
Education and Training:
High School diploma required; higher education preferred
Experience with lending or commercial real estate preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $26 - $29 per hour. Salary is based on factors including job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
