Role Summary
The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for building trust, driving retention, and strengthening investor engagement by delivering exceptional investor experience across the full lifecycle— from onboarding and communications to reporting, servicing, and capital raise support . This role partners closely with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Accounting, and Leadership to ensure investors receive accurate, timely updates and a high-touch service model that supports ongoing fundraising and long-term relationships.

Maintain strong investor confidence and satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness
Improve consistency, quality, and timeliness of investor reporting and investor‑facing content
Support fundraising cycles by helping deliver investor materials, data, and pipeline communication
Build scalable IR processes to serve a growing investor base without sacrificing service quality
Strengthen institutional‑level IR operations while maintaining a relationship‑driven approach
Core Responsibilities
1) Investor Communications & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of active investors (individual and/or institutional)
Manage investor inquiries with a
high-service, high-urgency standard
(email/phone follow‑ups)
Provide consistent updates on portfolio performance, distributions, capital calls, and fund activity
Maintain investor confidence during market changes by communicating clearly and professionally
Ensure investor touchpoints feel personalized and aligned with the firm’s values and brand
2) Investor Reporting & Performance Updates
Coordinate and distribute recurring investor reports (monthly/quarterly) including:
Fund performance summaries
Property‑level updates
Distributions, cash flow updates, and return metrics
Portfolio occupancy, leasing highlights, and asset management narratives
Partner with Accounting/Fund Admin and Asset Management to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Prepare investor‑friendly executive summaries and highlight major wins, milestones, and risks
3) Fundraising Support & Capital Raise Execution
Support fundraising efforts across new and existing investors
Manage the investor pipeline process including follow‑ups, materials distribution, and meeting prep
Assist with fundraising deliverables including:
Pitch decks and investment summaries
Case studies and portfolio fact sheets
FAQs, offering highlights, fund terms overview
Data room organization and investor request tracking
Coordinate investor meetings, calls, event logistics, and post‑meeting follow‑ups
4) CRM, Investor Data Management & Process Improvement
Maintain accurate investor records in CRM/IR platform, including:
Contact details
Commitment amounts
Investor status and engagement tracking
Communication history and preferences
Build repeatable systems for investor updates, reporting workflows, and response tracking
Track and report IR KPIs such as investor response time, satisfaction trends, and reinvestment rate
Create templates and SOPs for scalable IR operations as investor base grows
5) Investor Experience & Brand Representation
Uphold a “white glove” investor experience aligned with the firm’s standards and tone
Ensure all investor‑facing communication reflects professionalism, clarity, and brand consistency
Help strengthen investor trust through transparency, responsiveness, and strong follow‑through
Represent the firm at investor events, webinars, and relationship‑building opportunities
Key Stakeholder Collaboration
This role collaborates cross‑functionally to ensure investor communications are accurate and aligned:
Asset Management:
property performance updates, strategic initiatives
Finance/Accounting:
financial statements, distributions, capital calls, compliance
Acquisitions:
pipeline highlights, deal narratives, investment rationale
Leadership Team:
investor messaging, fundraising goals, relationship strategy
Marketing (if applicable):
investor deck design, branding consistency, content formatting
Required Qualifications
MBA with Finance or Accounting experience required
5‑10+ years of experience in
Investor Relations, Capital Markets, Client Relations, or Financial Services
Experience in
Private Equity, Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate Funds, or Alternative Investments
preferred
Strong ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to investors (written + verbal)
High attention to detail with strong execution, follow‑through, and organization skills
Confident working with leadership and managing sensitive investor communications
Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting workflows
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience supporting capital raises and investor onboarding processes
Familiarity with investor reporting tools or CRMs (Salesforce, Juniper Square, Dynamo, DealCloud, etc.)
Knowledge of CRE performance metrics (NOI, cap rates, occupancy, IRR, equity multiple, cash‑on‑cash)
Experience working with high‑net‑worth investors and/or family offices
