Program Coordinator I – TRIO Upward Bound Program Coordinator
This full‑time position supports the implementation of the Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math‑Science programs by coordinating academic, college preparatory, and enrichment services for eligible participants. The coordinator designs and delivers standards‑based instructional curriculum, supervises and evaluates part‑time instructional and tutorial staff, administers and analyzes diagnostic and achievement assessments, and provides academic advising aligned with students’ Individualized Education Plans (SEPs) in collaboration with secondary school counselors.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver curriculum, oversee academic advising, and assess participant skill levels to develop SEPs.

Recruit, orient, and test program participants; develop and manage the instructional program, including after‑school and summer residential components.

Coordinate program documentation, evaluate instructional effectiveness, and submit monthly and annual reports on student retention and progress.

Select, train, and supervise instructional and tutorial staff.

Initiate and maintain program documentation and support continuous improvement efforts.

Assist with new and emerging projects, and engage in professional development activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred: Demonstrated commitment to the educational needs of low‑income, first‑generation youth and experience motivating and supporting this population.

Prior experience coordinating instructional or enrichment programs for middle and high school students.

Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Knowledge of TRIO and Upward Bound program policies is preferred.

Benefits
Advertised salary: $43,000+ (commensurate with experience).
