Overview

Responsibilities
Represents public and private entity clients in litigation matters including employment and labor law.
Manages all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, law and motion practice, oral argument, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
Provides legal counsel on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters under California and federal law.
Conducts or oversees workplace investigations and prepares related findings or recommendations.
Drafts and reviews employment-related policies, handbooks, and other compliance materials.
Prepares and argues petitions for writs of mandate and administrative appeals.
Provides mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys or staff as needed.
Qualifications
JD degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar.
7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in California.
3+ years handling employment law matters, including employment-related litigation and advice and counsel.
Trial experience and experience with petitions for writ of mandate and appeals preferred.
