Job Description
The Pre-Series Specialist position is a critical leadership role within Material Logistics Management (MLM). It is a corporate-based position with a focus on building an understanding of Stellantis processes and systems to ensure timely material availability for pre-production builds. The successful candidate will use their inventory management skills to work closely with the supply base and various other functional areas (Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Scheduling/Specifications/Follow-up) to root cause delays; prioritize; report; escalates; and resolve supply issues in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring program timing milestones and deliverables related to pilot part availability are met; root cause constrained part supply issues and drive resolution; escalates delays; interact daily with supply base on part availability timing and low cost shipping; lead critical part discussions with engineering, supplier quality, purchasing and suppliers; and prepare and report pilot part delivery status to senior level management.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business or a related field

Ability to work any shift and overtime as required

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

Public speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

18 months experience in prior manufacturing or supervisory role

Previous experience working in a union environment

Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
