Men's Designer - Outerwear & Bottoms

Overview
A growing apparel company is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Outerwear & Bottoms Designer to support the development of seasonal collections. This is a hands‑on role working closely with senior design leadership to bring concepts to life—from initial sketch through final sample.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, an interest in technical product development, and a passion for outerwear and well‑fitting bottoms.
Key Responsibilities
Design Execution
Support senior designers in developing new silhouettes across outerwear, bottoms, and swim
Create colorways and assist in seasonal design updates
Technical Development
Build and maintain accurate tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and Excel
Include detailed flats, construction details, BOMs, and trim placements
Research & Trend Analysis
Conduct market research on trends, competitor landscape, pricing, and fabric/trim innovation
Fit & Development Support
Attend fit sessions, document feedback, and update technical sketches accordingly
Track revisions and maintain consistency across sizes and styles
Materials & Sourcing
Help manage trim and fabric development, maintaining organized reference files throughout the lifecycle
Vendor Communication
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to request lab dips, strike‑offs, sample yardage, prototypes, and sales samples
Sample Coordination
Assist in preparing, labeling, and shipping samples to internal teams and external partners
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Experience
3–7 years of experience in apparel design
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; strong working knowledge of Photoshop
Experience with Excel for BOM management and product tracking
Familiarity with Outlook/Teams or similar communication tools
Core Competencies
Strong understanding of garment construction (e.g., pockets, zippers, seam finishes)
High attention to detail and organization
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to Have
Experience with 3D design tools such as CLO 3D or Browzwear
