Neilsoft’s AEC/BIM Practice addresses needs of the AEC/O industry for A/S/MEPF BIM & Engineering Services, Scan2BIM / Reality capture, real‑time Digital Twins, custom BIM automation solutions development, AI/ML-assisted solutions development and custom BIM 4D/5D solutions. We work with leading Architectural firms, MEP Consultants, Trade Contractors, Design‑Build firms and Fabricators (Precast, Steel, Modular, Timber) to address the needs of different types of projects including Hospitals, Airports, Corporate campuses, Data Centers, Factories & Industrial Plants, Education & Institutional facilities.
Neilsoft Inc. (a 100% subsidiary of Neilsoft Limited) has been servicing North American customers for over 20 years and as part of our expansion plans are seeking to add new colleagues to our existing Technical teams in the US region.
The VDC Designer – MEP role is based out of our Canton, MI office and is a full time, on site position. This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking a long term career path and wanting to make a meaningful impact as we continue to expand our North America operations.
Qualification
Formal college diploma / degree and / or relevant trade / professional experience, Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Required Skills & Experience
Engineers with experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and Autodesk Navisworks. Experience with Evolve will be an added advantage.
Experience with modeling at LOD 300/ 400 for design / trade models
Experience in Electrical construction & shop drawings creation/Documentation.
Clash detection & Coordination using Autodesk Navisworks
Basic knowledge of constructability
Experience of working on Common data environments
Good to Haves
Experience with Clash co-ordination tools like – BIMTRACK, BIM 360 issues, Revitzo, Newforma etc.
Knowledge of mostly used Electrical Engineering design concepts, practices, & procedures.
Experience with modelling of Electrical LV & ELV services
Experience in Electrical construction & shop drawings creation/Documentation.
Experience in Electrical equipment & services hanger/support modelling.
Experience in reading & interpreting material submittals ( Cut sheets) for equipment’s & Electrical services materials
Experience in Parametric Revit Family creation.
