JOB SUMMARY:
This Active Ingredient Technician role is responsible for preparing vaccine components in an aseptic cleanroom environment using virus and cell culture techniques in compliance with regulatory standards. The position ensures adherence to SOPs, supports documentation and quality processes, and contributes to continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform vaccine component preparation in an aseptic cleanroom environment using virus and cell culture techniques
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during all processes
Assist in training and coaching new and existing employees on required skills
Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance
Maintain technical data and supporting documentation
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Escalate production flow issues and disturbances as needed
Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and ensure safe work practices
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and performance assessments
Support site projects, including deviation handling and change control processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
Basic math skills
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of cleanroom operations and aseptic techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Biology or related field
1+ year of laboratory or manufacturing experience
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
