Job Summary
This part‑time instructor will teach mathematics classes to teenage participants of the Upward Bound program from local high schools. The instructor must provide rigorous, engaging instruction, maintain classroom etiquette, and grade participants in accordance with program requirements.
Responsibilities
Teach courses aligned with the Fulton County School curriculum, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Decision Making/Statistics, Pre‑Calculus/Trigonometry, and/or Calculus.
Deliver student‑centered, rigorous math instruction to high‑school participants.
Maintain an environment conducive to learning and manage classroom behavior.
Track and report grades for each participant.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work with diverse and underserved students.
Preference for applicants who share cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds similar to program participants.
Salary
$2,500 for the full session.
