Position Summary
The TIG Welder Fabricator is responsible for precision welding and fabrication of various metal components using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) processes. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, ability to interpret fabrication drawings to produce high‑quality, structurally sound and aesthetically clean welds including polishing stainless.
Key Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on various materials, including thin‑gauge and heavy‑gauge components
Fabricate parts and assemblies according to blueprints, schematics and work orders
Cut, fit, tack and weld metal components using proper welding techniques
Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, shears, press brakes and welding machines
Ensure welds meet quality, strength and appearance standards
Inspect completed work for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
Required Skills and Abilities
Proven experience as a TIG welder, specifically with various metals
Proficiency in TIG/GTAW welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and fabrication drawings
Strong knowledge of stainless‑steel properties and welding and polishing techniques
Experience with measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.)
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or technical/vocational training
Proven experience as a TIG Welder Fabricator
Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods of time
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves and protective clothing is required and provided for use
