Construction Project Manager
Walker Hill Consulting, LLC, Boston, MA, United States
We’re hiring a
Construction Project Manager
to lead the construction phase of complex academic and institutional projects. This isn’t a back‑office CA role. You’ll be the one in the middle of it all—owning execution, protecting design intent, and keeping projects moving.
What You’ll Own
Be the go-to between client, contractor, and design team
Run RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all the moving pieces that come with them
Review shop drawings and enforce design intent
Manage schedules, push timelines, and call out issues early
Lead site visits + meetings (not just attend them)
Oversee pay apps, project tracking, and documentation
Drive punchlist + closeout from start to finish
What You Bring
5+ years in architecture with strong construction phase experience
You’ve actually led projects during construction—not just supported them
Solid with Revit + construction documents
Comfortable dealing directly with clients and contractors
Strong handle on scheduling, cost, and change management
You make decisions and own them
Nice to Have
Licensed Architect (or close)
Academic / institutional project experience
Sustainability / LEED exposure
Why This Role
You’ll have real ownership here. You’re not just reviewing drawings—you’re making sure what gets built matches the vision, the budget, and the timeline.
The Perks
Bonuses tied to projects
Tuition support + ongoing learning
If you’re someone who can run a job, push a contractor, and still keep the architect happy—we should talk.
