Program Summary
The Lennar Construction Internship Program is a 10‑week paid internship beginning in June for rising college seniors. The program applies classroom knowledge to real‑world projects, develops essential interpersonal and technical skills, and provides future career and leadership opportunities. Interns work with seasoned professionals, contributing to impactful projects and becoming immersed in Lennar’s culture through onboarding, hands‑on training, and team building. All positions in the Future Builders Program are temporary and do not guarantee future employment; after completion, the company may offer a regular full‑time position based on performance and business needs.
Construction Intern Responsibilities
Support the supervision and scheduling of daily trade partner activities while ensuring compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes.
Communicate construction progress and home completion dates to the company through weekly reports.
Work closely with trade partners and the management team to maintain open communication on all matters; produce quality work and proactively resolve issues that may arise.
Maintain and organize construction files for use by management and other field associates.
Requirements
Current junior working toward a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred).
Working toward a bachelor's degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, business, or a similar field.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
This primarily sedentary office position requires the ability to work over eight hours per day in a confined office setting. The role also requires occasional bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving items less than 50 pounds; finger dexterity for operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work includes extended periods seated at a computer, completing paperwork, and handling phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying.
