About the Role
In this outpatient‑only role, a Nurse Practitioner (NP or PA) will build meaningful relationships with patients while diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions.
What You’ll Do
See patients for new consults and follow‑up visits
Evaluate and manage GI and liver‑related conditions
Guide patients through chronic condition management and treatment plans
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
Coordinate care around GI procedures (before & after)
Educate patients on their health, treatments, and lifestyle changes
Keep accurate, thorough documentation in the EMR
Collaborate closely with a supportive team of gastroenterologists and staff
What You Bring
Active North Carolina NP or PA license in good standing
GI experience is a plus, but passion and willingness to learn are important
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Confidence in managing complex, chronic conditions
A patient‑first mindset and team‑oriented attitude
